Banwell Pottery to brighten up Made in North Somerset festival

Made in North Somerset is a festival weekend celebrating food, drink, art and craft from across the county.

Held at the National Trust Tyntesfield Estate in Wraxall, this is one of the Pottery’s biggest events of the year.

Festival date

market stallOpen from 10am-4pm on 1-2 October, 2016, the Banwell Pottery stall will be there for both days.

In addition to the 72 stalls there’ll be music, theatre, storytelling, and hands-on activities.

It’s an excellent opportunity for the people we support to help set up and run the stall, deal with sales, and talk to customers about Brandon Trust and what we do at the Pottery.

Each year we take two service users to work alongside the staff. It’s an early morning start in order to set up the tables and unpack all the tiles and hangers. Everyone loves working on the stall but it’s not all hard work as there are opportunities to look around the rest of the festival and meet the other stall holders.

As well as making sales, it’s a valuable opportunity to network. We meet a lot of people who are really interested in what we do. We sell a lot of our work and have had many commissions from festival visitors. We also get a lot of interest in the weekly evening class we hold at the Pottery studio.
